Thank You Bintulu...!
(mun Nemo baca mesti nya madah:Kak J , tak habis2 Bintulu...) Hee...for the sake of experience and record. Mana tau nanti ada nemiak tanya. Payah dibuatnya terkebil-kebil maknya nak jawab nanti...
Day 3: 15/ December/ 2010
Nothing much done today except helped the housekeeping makcik to tidy up the room before she came...kesian pula kat dia banyak bilik nak kemas...washed the cups used, wiped the sink top in the bathroom...then, when the housekeeping makcik came, she just need to change the towels and do some arrangement according to the hotel standard. Terima Kasih makcik for keeping our room tidy during our 3 nights stay there. Thank you for teaching me a Sarawak slang/ word: Auk- which means "yes". First time heard from the people of Sarawak themselves.
When the clock strike 7pm, me and mum went for our dinner and looking for some gifts to be taken home. As usual, when someone who doesn't like shopping...tak reti nak cari barang or late in making choices. At last, grabbed a long sleeved t-shirt and few key chains with Sarawak 'identity'.
Day 4: 16/ December/ 2010 (Final Day)
Aritok last day in Bintulu... had breakfast with mum at the cafetaria then we checked-out from the hotel. We then take a taxi to the airport to catch our flight scheduled at 10:00am. Alhamdulillah landed safely at LCCT Sepang about 12:20pm.
Few things learn during my 4 days and three nights stay in Bintulu:
1- Kalau lah kamek tok seorang Manager ataupun staff kat airline kompeni tu, dah lama suh crew cabin wanita pakai seluar panjang instead off skirt. Rambut tu kalau kalau tak nak pakai tudung pun, please jangan kaler pelik-pelik. Tapi sah-sah lah tak boleh kan...tapi mana tau hati sidak berubah...
2- Foods: Not so many choices. Terima dengan seadanya ada yang ada and for sure, have to be careful in making selections.
3- Newspaper: First time in my life that I learn to read a local newspaper- SARAWAK TRIBUNE. The format and layout are almost similar to New Straits Time here.
4- Radio: I almost forgotten that the radio frequencies set in my hand phone are Lembah Klang's frequencies. Trying for auto search mode. Dapat la dengar station radio Sarawak :). Buat-buat faham auk apa sidak madah (madah-Sarawak slang meaning "Say'').
5- People: Alhamdulillah the people here are friendly. Feel much welcomed.
Hope to have the opportunity to explore the world in future.

Jaulah Bintulu: Day 2
Day 2 in Bintulu...
Mum starts her training officially today. Did nothing much till she returns back from her session at 4:30pm. Ordered a plate of Spagetthi Bolognese from the hotel room service. Well, am new here so, am not brave enough yet to explore this area alone. Also did a little bit of practice with my khat :p.
At around 5:00pm, went to the beach a.k.a Bintulu Waterfront Promenade.
Rules and obligations of B.W.P. From what I've observed, the beach is clean. 4.5 star from me... the facilities are also well managed and taken care of.
Apa agaknya rezeki pakcik ini hari ni?
We later went to the area that we went for dinner last night but this time around we explore some shops outside the complex. Well...most shops are already closed by 5:30-6:00pm so there's nothing much to see. The same environment and situation as the beach earlier. This little town is clean...and the traffic is not as hectic and busy as Kuala Lumpur.
Their spontaneus, sporting and cheerful reaction upon seeing me holding my camera.
As I kept thinking from yesterday, the Christmas fever here seems a bit more 'happening'. In KL, it is normal to see Christmas trees being placed in malls, with some lighting decorations, mock presents placed underneath the tree. Here, almost every shops that I go, their staffs wear the red Christmas cap and the decorations are a bit 'heavier'. Maybe I forget to do some research about their culture, community and religion before coming here. Well, my first task upon reaching home later, I guess.
Stopped by a bookstore...(mama kata:macam la takda kedai buku kat Bangi tu)...theeee...apa nak buat. Dah suka... At 7:00pm, the hotel shuttle bus came to pick us up from the mall.
The shuttle bus was driven fastly. A bit blurry though this picture. This shop sign reads : 100% Discount Store. Does it mean all items are free of charge? Or they are actually trying to say that the prices of every items in the shop are discounted ?
Trying to take the picture of a shop signboard but as again the bus was too fast, this is what I got.

Jaulah Bintulu: Day 1
Alhamdullah. Praise be to The Almighty for giving me the opportunity to accompany mum to conduct her training here in Bintulu, Sarawak. Watching how our parents do their job will make us appreciate more with what they had given us. This is a little bit of notes on my first day here:
13/ December/ 2010
9:00 am- 11:45am: Doing last minute checkings and making sure that all essential items and clothings are already packed in the luggage. Prepared some meals for abah as he could not follow us on this trip. As I wish to be a full-time housewife, I have and must learn to do few task at one time as fast as I can. Mum went to her office for a while to pick up some items for her training session.
11:45am- 12:40pm: The taxi arrived and tooks us to the LCCT terminal in Sepang.
12:40pm-1:20pm: Arrived at LCCT terminal, checked in our luggages and lingered around while waiting for the entry gate to be opened. The airport was quite packed...with people waiting to travel to their respective destinations during this holiday season.
1:20 pm- 2:10pm: Finally, flight AK 5114 Bintulu turn to board. Ok. Not really yet as there's a little bit of delay (schedule of departure is actually 1:50pm). But I use the waiting time on board to read the magazine provided together with mum.
At the same time, I keep on thinking to myself. About the female crew cabins. Their uniform. Why could'nt they just put on long pants instead of a slited short skirts? Does'nt that will make their movement easier? During emergencies (nauzubillah minzaalik) where it may require those on board to run in order to safe their (our lives)? Kan molek sikit :).
2:10pm- 4:15pm: Alhamdulillah the 2 hours and 5minute filght went smoothly. Enjoyed the beauty of nature created by Allah The Almighty from thousands of kilometres in the sky. Masya Allah! The clouds were so beatiful...oh...I can't remember the names of clouds learnt during the school days. Sirrus, colomonimbus...err..is this right :p?
4:15pm- 5:30pm: Landed safetly at Bintulu Airport. Thank You pilot Captain Azzam (if I was not mistaken) and his crew for their wonderful service along the journey.
Mama...look! We are almost there...( a kid few seats away from me)
Waited with mum at the luggage waiting area. There's something bit hilarious happened while we stand waiting at the conveyor. Mum got her luggage but I did not spot mine even the coveyor belt had been spinning around a few times (untill I almost remembered the bags and items arrangement on the belt!). Then...pop! A luggage fall out of nowhere from the belt and it was mine. Mum laughed too (^-^).
Another different situation here in Bintulu from Peninsular was that at around 8:30pm, Bintulu city is quiet and almost all shops are already closed.

Eii..so many ambitions?
When I was small, I had the dreams to be:
Doctor...I think this is among the popular answer from kids when asked about their ambitions
Computer Engineer... abah once called me "minah gadget"...when there's something wrong with handphones, godek-godek ada rezeki, hidup balik tepon tu. But now, am just so in love with my laptop. Would not allow others to touch it...with exception I'm generous that moment. Aiyoo...
Satisfied with my humble phone...At the moment, I don't have any intention to change or upgrade it unless one day it is not possible for me to contact my beloved ones with it. But am still into gadgets and machines. Loves to observe newbies in the market even sometimes I did not understand the mechanical descriptions.
Teacher: Alhamdulillah I have the chance to be a part of this education world.
Budding/ amateur photographer: I guess this is part of my interest in gadgets and machines. What I wish to concentrate/ be is a Muslimah photographer as what I see its importance especially during weddings as particularly the bride's aurah is more covered (mahram). I am also interested in portrait photography. But there's still a lot more things to learn and discover.
Still have the dream to become a:
Housewife: Boleh kan?
Alhamdulillah for His blessings ('',)

2011 Preview...
2 more weeks for this break to end and Alhamdulillah am really enjoying it. There are few things that I've gone through this holiday especially with crafts and sewing:
Insya Allah this Monday (13/ December) will be spending my final week of break at Bintulu with mama until 16th December. Abah? He had to do some final Syariah tutoring for his STPM students. Adik? Selamat masuk semester baru...jaga diri baik-baik kat UIA tu...
2011...new chapter for me. The school administration given me the responsibility as Guru Kanan Unit Peperiksaan... hoping that I am strong enough and could do the job the best as I could.
Will try to improve my teaching methods to help my beloved heroes in exploring the world. Their essential years :).
Other plans? The Almighty Knows Best.

Kids
Its school break now and Alhamdulillah I am enjoying it. A bit bored, actually as it is quite quiet here. Those who know me, knows that I am a noisy type of person and could be easily stressed if there's nothing to do...specifically...no one to joke and kacau-kacau.
Usually, during my working days, while on my way out to wait for the bus to school, I will pass by the tadika and childcare centre owned by person whom I am staying with. Stopped for a while and observe them. Sometimes, while getting ready for work, could hear the kids reading aloud from their books or sing...
Upon arrival at school, I will usually be greeted by my students running and playing while waiting for class to start...running after them, scolding them, teaching them is my daily routine there.
One fine day...some students asked me : "Nama anak muallimah apa?". Then, the following week, this question came to me: "Anak muallimah perempuan kan?". Could only smile to them as the answer.
As about the name, I like to name my kids Ziyad Fikri, Umair, Nu'man Az- Zahrawi, Amaani Syifaa', Mariyyah Yusra, Naura Faatihah...each with its own special meaning. And the ideas came in random. In class, travel, while pondering etc. Only with the agreement from their abah. If not, what can I do...hihi. How many kids? Wish I could have many...accept the rizq from Allah. My father said " Nak buat rumah luas sikit. Biar cucu-cucu boleh main-main..".
Tapi...sekarang. Orang kata, pendidikan anak bermula masa mama dia muda a.k.a single. Eh...cik meow, aku baik tak? Perasan kan? Ok. Baik jangan jeling aku macam tu...nanti I tak nak kasi ikan baru tau...
Mission: Improve myself.
Du'a: Searching for a person who could make me smile, tenang, more patient...ketidaksempurnaan itulah yang saling melengkapkan diri...
May I be a good wife and mother in the future.
Allah Knows Best.
2010 in Memory
2010 almost reached its end and so many had happened this year...
1- End of April 2010:
Completion of my degree from IIUM. Alhamdulillah after the struggle and pains for 5 years (1 years in matriculation and 4 years in main campus). Thank you Allah for giving me the chance to seek knowledge. Thank you Allah for the wonderful and great persons I met along my way there.
2-May 2010..
Had the chance to be part of the Seminar Kebangsaan PRS 2010 working crew. Met with students and counsellors from IPTA's around Malaysia. Thank you IIUM Counselling Department for still remembering me and inviting me to join over...hihi.

I also had the chance to help with the wedding preparations of my two cousins in Batu Pahat, Johore. Its tiring but surely gave my a lot experience.
3- June- July 2010:
Went to few interviews, flipping through newspapers and websites. The main thing that I've learn is the value and importance of patience. I also kept saying to myself that Allah is giving me the chance to spend the best time with my family as maybe, when I've started working, the time with my family is limited. Very limited.
4- August 2010-now:
Welcoming a new life at Sekolah Rendah Islam Al- Amin Gombak. Never imagined that one day, I will work at a place very, very close to IIUM. Abah once said : I feel that one day, one of my daughters will work here (Gombak). Any other meaning, Abah :)? Dekat-dekat Gombak ke...
5- November- December 2010:
First time long school break as a teacher. Alhamdulillah. Currently busy doing last minute preparation to help with Yatt's wedding this Sunday. Barakallahu fikum...
And, the best of all...Insya Allah my best friend, Tasnim Hatta @ Nemo will be back in Malaysia from Geelong, Melbourne at the end of this month for her 2 months break. Kawan-kawan G4, jom kita buat gathering :).

Learn and learn and learn..
Last night, slept at 2:00am...its not just merely because I am on break. Listened to a parenting-related talk on IKIM radio by Dr Harlina Siraj. Macam pagi takda je siaran tu. Its a replay... Morning...like to concentrate more on my task. The radio responsibility is only to play music as a companion. Listening to talk shows would surely needed more attention and concentration...During the days in IIUM, like to tune into Bernama Radio for the Pengguna (consumer) issue programme. 1am too. Dah pagi pergi kelas...Anyway, thanks for making a repeat show.
Being busy with works doesn't mean that I have to put aside the mission to seek knowledge. Life-long learning. There's no tomorrow if you didn't put the effort today. Like my late teacher always say " Biar usaha yang sedikit tetapi istiqamah...".
Maybe I am not a good tailor or designer such as Riezalman Ibrahim, or a good chef such as Chef Wan or Chef Sabri, or a good housekeeper such as Martha Stewart. But will always pray from now so that I can educate my family (kids) with the best tarbiyyah I can. Solat, puasa, ibadah lain cukup pun dah sejuk hati.... watching the students praying jemaah at school had made me happy enough. Listening to them reciting their du'a before meal put a big smile on my face (even sometimes they are SUPER enough to handle). What's more if its our own little kids.

Anak nyamuk: Hebat ibu.
Ibu nyamuk: Kenapa?
Anak nyamuk: Sebab semua orang tepuk tangan bila nampak saya.
Ibu nyamuk: Errrkkk...
*****
Pengajaran:

Travelog Ukhuwwah (KL-IPOH-SUNGAI PETANI-YAN)
PERTEMUAN MAK & SAHABAT SEKULIAH ITM-TAUTAN SETELAH 30 THN
Alhamdulillah mak bertemu kembali dengan sahabat sekuliah beliau semasa di ITM dahulu setelah hampir 30 tahun berpisah. Misi pencarian mak akan sahabat beliau hanya sekejap. Mungkin kerana keberkatan ukhuwwah.
Selamat Pengantin Baru buat sepupuku Nurulain. Welcome to the family buat Mohd Fauwaz Najmi. Terimah kasih atas layanan (warm welcome) yang kami terima sepanjang majlis. Seronok dapat tengok Gunung Jerai. Masya Allah. Sungguh indah ciptaanNYA.
‘BACK TO SCHOOL’- AYAH KEMBALI KE MCKK

Retreat 2
11 November 2008
8:00-8:30am
Kami berkumpul di Tangga Besar UIA. Sambil2 tunggu, amik kesempatan siapkan preparation utk presentation. Huaa...penat habis exam pun tak sudah lagi. Tapi, kami still bersemangat utk aktiviti ni.
8:30-10:30am
Bertolak ke El-Azzhar camp. Aku tertidur sepanjang perjalanan hampir 2 jam ni.Hehe...penat2. Kumpul energy...
10:30-11:30am
Tiba di campsite. Damainya suasana di desa. Upon arriving, kami di beri breifing mengenai perjalanan program 2 hari 1 malam ni. Unfortunately, Bro. Then, kami di beri bilik penginapan. Best dapat bilik utk 3 org. Mcm hotel pula. Siap ada air-cond, tv...
11:30am-1:30pm
Aktiviti 1. Mengisa @ Menjala ikan di lautan. Jadi nelayan kejap. Alhamdulillah...
3:oo- 6:30am
Setelah selasai menunaikan solat jama' qasar 7 makan lunch, kami bersiap2 untuk aktiviti berkayak & berakit di tasik. Am quite nervous at first utk buat water confident. Tapi, bila dh lama2 dok dalam air, rasa best pula. Tapi, tengah2 berkayak, tangan aku tiba cramp menyebabkan perkayuhan menjadi agak lambat dan terbatas kepada hanya 1 pusingan instead of 2 rounds.
8:00-9:30pm
Nyum2. Dinner time dgn aktiviti public speaking. Confidence, creativity, experience, body language?!!!
9:30- 11:30pm
Cultural night. Kami diberi task untuk buat short acting bedasarkan tema yang di beri dan ask the audience to guess. Our's is "suspense" in which kami wat mcm iklan untuk promo Kit- Kat. Group Zul wat pasal "horror", group from PEERS I pasal ''humour'' and PEERS 2 pasal "obedience". Terhibur gak malam ni.
13 November 2008
Happy 48th Birthday to my Mama! Love you mum.
7:30am-8:30am
Group binding & Chicken dance + breakfast. Mualakan hari dengan senyuman...!
8:30am-11:30am
Disebabkan beberapa masalah teknikal, aktiviti wall climbing & abseling terpaksa digantikan dengan high-rope. Acrophobia gak la.
11:30am-1:30pm
Presentation on the topic Counselling Skills.
1:30-2:30pm
Luch, solat Zohor & Bye2 El- Azzhar camp!
